Chloe's Looses Tooth

Chloe has wanted to loose a tooth for the past year. She was so excited that it finally happened.

Just give Mommy one try to get it out!

Hooray!!!

Chloe was crying at bedtime because she was going to visit Grandma Shadle in the morning and she didn't want the toothfairy to take her tooth so she could show her. To calm her down, I had her write the toothfairy a note asking her not to take the tooth until tomorrow night. :~)

Blake Cracking Up

When Blake sees the kids his face lights up. Haley is able to get him cracking up within seconds of him getting a glimpse of her. She began to play while he was finishing up dinner.

Computer Photo Booth

The kids love to play on the photo booth feature of our computer. They are getting pretty creative in what they do.

Fun at the park

The three little ones and I get to go hang out at Metzger Park while Haley participates in her volleyball conditioning practices.

Blake definitely loves to swing. He is such a trooper when we are hanging out waiting for Haley to finish up.
Keeping hydrated!!
Tyler and Chloe put homemade popsicles in the cooler with their drinks. I thought it was silly since they weren't going to be able to eat them for at least half an hour after we left the house. I must say that I was wrong because they survived the car ride just fine and the kids ate them on and off for the entire 2 hours we were at the park! Unbelievable....

The tire swing is Tyler and Chloe's favorite piece of playground equipment!

Cousin Fun

Miranda, Emily, Logan and Corinne came over for the afternoon to hang out and of course go down the water slide. It was fun to see them for the last 4 days in a row. We feel this has to be a record for the year!

Corinne had a graceful exit and Chloe can't get to the line fast enough.
Pile up! The kids did mean to do this.....LOL....
Grandpa and Grandma Tyler stopped by. Blake ended up in the car and was chatting up a storm while he was pretending to drive. It was so funny to see him do this. After of course tasting the steering wheel, driving seemed as if it was instinctive!

More Water Slide

After the birthday party the kids decided to end the day by cooling off. Grace and Clara came over to join in on the fun. Boy the kids can't seem to get enough of this. Brad and Monica are beginning to wonder what their water bill will look like!

Haley and Grace
Haley thought Blake should join in on the fun.
WEEEEE............
At least he is not crying. The water is pretty chilly.

Lordy, Lordy, Melinda's 40

Sunday, July 18th Melinda turned 40. We decided to surprise her and were actually successful! Ron so graciously left the house open for us when they left for church. While they were away we were able to work make preparations. We shut the garage door so that when they pulled up and went to park in the garage we would surprise her. The plan worked and kudos to all the kiddos that knew and kept the secret!

Melinda is opening the gift that Melanie gave her.

Blake and Miranda
Emily gaining some more nail painting practice. Melanie loved the finished product.

Aunt Melanie has wanted to ride in the convertible for some time. She finally got her chance and enjoyed every minute. She was just beaming that Eugene took her and Dylan for a ride.

Trying to cool down in the shade.
April taking her turn at cranking the ice cream freezer.
Tyler, Chloe, Corinne, Melinda and Grandma Tyler all looking on waiting patiently!
Looks like big sis Haley was being a little ornery and a trouble maker. Hmm.....

Ice cream making session. We made cinnamon and vanilla.

April
Monica ordered the cake and asked for an old lady with blue or purple hair. The decorator must have been confused and color blind, however the cake still was kind of funny and definitely tasted good.

Blake was sad when the cake and ice cream was gone! We think he wished Daddy didn't eat as much of his serving.

Boy it looks like Ron is on a sugar high, while Chloe is trying to get every last bit of ice cream.
This homemade ice cream is good! The heat was getting to Miranda and Meredith was working on school work.
Corinne was so kind to let Chloe borrow her sneaks to ride the scooters. Flip flops were not going to keep her piggies safe!

Dinner Time with Blake

Blake missed his mouth by just a little bit!
Food Face.......

Hooray he made it!

Camping in Dover

Ron and Melinda invited us down for a camp out. We had an absolute blast and wanted to thank them for their hospitality. It was great to spend a little extra time with them, especially on Melinda's special 40th Birthday weekend. The pictures below provide a glimpse of how much fun we had. To great memories.........

Chandler's Camp Grounds
Ron, Melinda, Logan and Tyler's tent.
Corinne and Chloe had their own little room in the end of our tent.
The big girls (Haley, Emily, Miranda) sleeping quarters.
Blake chilling out.
Lordy, Lordy Melinda turns 40!
Logan the spaceman!! LOL....
S'mores............Yum!
Miranda
Do you want peanut butter on your s'more?

Oops, marshmallow on the lip!
This was Chloe's favorite piece of playground equipment.
Ron and the kids shot off a baking powder and vinegar rocket.
Dover Park was beautiful and a great hangout.
Tyler and Logan
Miranda, Haley, Emily
Monica wore her favorite flip flops to the park however after three summers they broke. :~(
Brad saved the day by going back to the house to get her gym shoes. What a great guy. He did think she looked a little hillbilly running around the park without shoes!
Monica heard "Didn't your Mom ever say not to wear flip flops to the park!"
She learned her lesson but is still sad about her favorite flip flops.
Miranda and Blake

Chilling in the shade while the big kids are in the creek.

Fashion show

Wow, what a hairdo!
Corinne's fancy nails compliments of Emily.
Corinne, Chloe and Tyler found these bones in the woods by the park. They all decided to find as many as possible so they could sell them to the McKinley Museum Discovery Center and become rich.
The teeth were falling out of the skull so Tyler was putting them back into place.
You know it there was fun times when the kids fall asleep within minutes of being in the car heading home.
