It was a sunny, yet chilly afternoon for the track meet. Being a home meet there is place for the kids to run and they also have school friends to hang with and help pass the time.

Blake is our dare devil. He loves to be upside down and all around!

Haley was asked to run the 4 X 400 relay at the meet due to a teammate not feeling well. She was very nervous because she didn't ever practice the race and had never worked with a baton before. She had very little time for her teammates to tell her what she needs to do and practice the hand off a couple of times.

I was so excited for her opportunity that I didn't take any pictures :( , but was rather cheering her on. She looked great running the race and I think she not only surprised herself but the coaches too. Her coach came over and said it looked like a walk in the park for her. Haley would disagree with this statement, but for those watching she was smooth and constant. The relay team won the race and Louisville won the meet.

Tyler and Chloe were such troopers. The volleyball tournaments are long days. They do love to cheer their sister on. Looks a little like they are in jail.....

but they keep smiling!! :~)

There was 12 courts all together. A lot of volleyball and whistles going. Brad and I joked about hearing whistles in our sleep. Haley is in the center getting ready for a serve. During this tournament she only missed one serve all day! She has improved so much in the last year.

We had a chance to spend some time outside while Haley wasn't playing. Tyler and Chloe decided to play hide and seek in the football stadium. Chloe is counting and Tyler is actually behind the trash can. It was such a warm and beautiful day. We were glad to be able to soak up some sun at least a little bit.

Hotel Time

Haley had another volleyball tournament in Geneva. Since it was so far away we decided to make a little getaway out of it. Grandpa & Grandma Shadle kept Blake for the weekend since the tournaments tend to be too lengthy for him. We really appreciated then keeping Blake.

The kids had a great time hanging out in the pool and playing games. It was a nice relaxing evening.

Haley's First Track Meet

As you can see, we have been very busy with Haley's sports recently. This year in track she is running the 100 & 200 hurdles. This is her first year trying out hurdles and she is catching on pretty well. Go HALEY!
