Tyler's 1st Flag Football Game

This was Tyler's first experience at a flag football game. He seemed to be nervous and yet had fun as well. Even though they lost he had a learning experience and will continue to learn what to do and improve.

Tyler is right in the center crouched down.

Blocking...

Get that flag Tyler!

Going after the ball.
Great job Tyler....keep it up!

Planting grass seed

The kids are helping to plant grass seed where our new septic system was put in and where the old one was taken out.

Brad is taking sod from part of the back yard to create a garden for next year and patch where the yard is dirt from the septic system project.

Love Chloe's face in this picture.

House changes

The changes to the front of the house have begun. Brad's signature cedar shutters, trimming of bushes, and the red door have already made a big change in the look of the front. Next is the cedar shake shingles that will be added to the dormers and the white area by the red door. Love the transformation so far.

Fruit Press

We have a ton of apples in our orchard. The kids enjoy eating them almost everyday. When we moved we found a fruit press that Grandma-Great Hosfeld gave us quite a while ago. We were so anxious to use it.

The juice coming....
Brad and I figuring it out.
Our first little bit. After getting a gallon we realized that all of us love it. It tasted just like apple cider. We are so happy to have a home and orchard for this to happen.

Family Bonfire

Our yard is big enough for a volleyball court! Love it. Brad set up his serve.

Nadine and Quentin
Tyler taking the kids on a ride.
Great group of people. The night before the party Brad decided we needed a picnic table to Tyler and him built one. He amazes me how he can just whip something up. They listened to the football game and built the table under the lights. I am lucky to have such a handy husband.

Tessa, Scott and Gavin. We had to laugh how Scott always peeks from behind. Silly guy, but makes for a cute picture!

Gavin having fun.

Braden jumping off the straw and Colt watching and wishing he could join in!

Tyler is getting pretty good at pogo sticking.

Chillin by the fire.
Kaela spent the night following the bonfire so the kids snuggled up on the couches and watched a movie to finish off the night.

Riding the Bus

The first week of school I already had to take a day off work because Blake was sick with a fever. Since I didn't have to go to work we realized the kids could take the bus, so we tried it out. We walked to the end of our driveway in the morning and sure enough a bus drove by and picked them up! They were so excited. Below are the pictures of them arriving back home. They wish they could ride the bus every. I am really happy to have the bus as a backup plan.

The bus pulling up.

Off Tyler and Chloe hop!

Kiddos heading up the front yard. They are getting way too big.

Backyard Friends

We have some frequent visitors in our yard. Beside the daily rabbits we have a doe and two fawns that come around each week. It is fun to watch them and we are surprised that they get so close to us. One evening Tyler went running out on the basketball court to turn around to all three deer in the orchard. He came running in and say he can't believe how big they are. We are really going to have to keep and eye out the throughout the fall.
