The kids are trying to figure out how to help the dazed bird... Monica was standing in front of the picture window in the dinning room, when bang... and a puff of feathers were floating outside the window.
Pouring a little water on its head and putting ice on its beak seemed to help.
after about 30 minutes the bird came to its senses and flew to the railing on the deck. It eventually flew away... about a week later Brad noticed that the same woodpecker had made a home in our pear tree... hopefully it didn't kill it!
