Jump Rope Camp

Tyler and Chloe participated in three days of Jump Rope camp.  Our schools Leaping Leopards are one of the spokespeople of American Heart Associations program Jump Rope for Heart.  Our Leaping Leopards are students in grades 4 and 5 and they are the ones laying down front and teach the other campers the tricks.  Tyler hopes to be able to join the team this year or next year.

This is the jump rope camp crew!

Tyler was impressive on his pogo stick during the performance!  He has worked on this trick at home and is getting pretty good at it.

Chloe is in the pink shorts and is double jumping with the girl behind her.

Chloe was excited she learned to crisscross jump.

Playset/Cabin Completed!!

Laniel Quebec, Canada (July 27th - August 4th)

Painting of the murals at the dock.  The artists were outstanding to watch.

 Grand Chutes

Exploring the Kipawa River. Can't get enough of the scenery.

Tyler made a lantern out of glowsticks and a cup.  He did a wonderful job and it worked well beside his bunk.

We had some successful catches and enjoyed fish multiple times throughout the week.  It certainly was yummy.

Chloe thought Blake should look like Johnny Appleseed.  LOL...

Haley and Tyler kayaking and enjoying every minute.  Took a bit to get used to not tipping over but what a fun way to putter around the lake.  We must thank our friends Dave and Lorraine from Ontario for letting us use their kayaks.  Such a joy have wonderful people as cabin neighbors.

Blake exhausted from all the adventures.

Four walleye and 6 catfish were our first catches of the week.

 CHLOE!!   :~)

Tyler and Brad towing some logs across the lake.

Hanging out on a little island finding some very cool rocks.

Haley also seemed to find a baby leech.  She got it off after a little anxiety attack.  (hehe)  Too bad Aleigha was with us to take care of it.

Brad's driftwood sculpture.  He thought some boaters would wonder how on earth that got there.  :~)

Tyler was fishing with Brad one morning.  He didn't last long and fell asleep.

We didn't know swimming can be so dangerous.  One accidental bloody nose, but it wasn't too bad.

 Quack, quack!

 Blake

Walking on the road to our neighbors cabin.

Blake lifted and threw a lot of rocks and sticks throughout the week.  He would fill his pockets to the point that his pants couldn't stay up.  Below he was having difficulty keeping them up and the other kids thought it was a riot!

 Chloe on the Kipawa river

Brad having an evening swim watching the sunset.

 Tyler
Haley trying to stand up but the rope wasn't long enough since she is so tall.

Chloe was successful too.  We were so proud of her.

As we were exploring we found a note in the sand so we replied back 8 days later.  :~)

Made a fire pit to clean up some of the sticks and logs laying around.  After this initial burn we built up the side more with rocks.  Definitely had enough rocks to choose from.

Chipmunk friends that we feed all week long.
This is one of two snakes that we saw quite a few times throughout the week. They lived in the wood pile and we would notice them out sunbathing.  The first time we saw him was when Chloe just about stepped on it going up to visit the outhouse. They made a jump a couple of times during the week.

We were blessed to be up on Kipawa during a full moon.  This picture can't even begin to show how beautiful it was.
