Family Bonfire

Our yard is big enough for a volleyball court! Love it. Brad set up his serve.

Nadine and Quentin
Tyler taking the kids on a ride.
Great group of people. The night before the party Brad decided we needed a picnic table to Tyler and him built one. He amazes me how he can just whip something up. They listened to the football game and built the table under the lights. I am lucky to have such a handy husband.

Tessa, Scott and Gavin. We had to laugh how Scott always peeks from behind. Silly guy, but makes for a cute picture!

Gavin having fun.

Braden jumping off the straw and Colt watching and wishing he could join in!

Tyler is getting pretty good at pogo sticking.

Chillin by the fire.
Kaela spent the night following the bonfire so the kids snuggled up on the couches and watched a movie to finish off the night.

Riding the Bus

The first week of school I already had to take a day off work because Blake was sick with a fever. Since I didn't have to go to work we realized the kids could take the bus, so we tried it out. We walked to the end of our driveway in the morning and sure enough a bus drove by and picked them up! They were so excited. Below are the pictures of them arriving back home. They wish they could ride the bus every. I am really happy to have the bus as a backup plan.

The bus pulling up.

Off Tyler and Chloe hop!

Kiddos heading up the front yard. They are getting way too big.

Backyard Friends

We have some frequent visitors in our yard. Beside the daily rabbits we have a doe and two fawns that come around each week. It is fun to watch them and we are surprised that they get so close to us. One evening Tyler went running out on the basketball court to turn around to all three deer in the orchard. He came running in and say he can't believe how big they are. We are really going to have to keep and eye out the throughout the fall.

First Day of School 2011

First day of school for Tyler and Chloe was Monday, August 26th. They are getting so big.

Haley was supposed to start school the same day as the other two, however they are remodeling the high school and the construction that was to be completed wasn't done so they had the first two days of school cancelled. What a way to start the year. She enjoyed her two days of peace and quite at home during the day.

Haley was not impressed with me making her get her picture taken. Never too old for a first day of school photo!

All of us decided Blake needed his photo taken too. Below is where he went on the first day of school!

Happy 37th Birthday Brad

The kids picked out the cake and I think they were trying to hint about something since they got one with a toy 4-wheeler on it. LOL....

Gavin and Blake
The crowd gathered to watch some sports.
We had a nice time and Brad thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

Jump Rope Camp

Chloe and Tyler with Mrs. Aljancic their gym teacher and the head of the jump rope camp. She is a fabulous teacher that all the students absolutely love. She also is the coach for the Leaping Leopards Jump Rope Team.

Tyler loves the pogo stick and Chloe is a great jumper!

The Leaping Leopards Jump Rope Team was performing and had 4 jump ropes going at the same time and they were crossing each other. They do an awesome job and all the campers were amazed.
They had a great week at camp.

We were excited to have the Pfefferkorns visit our new home for the weekend. We had just received the keys, so we had not moved much of anything yet. The kids liked the added space and truly enjoyed our time together.

When they first arrived we headed to the park.

Chloe perched high.

Tyler and Gavin walked the trail around the playground.

Gavin

Alecia and Haley enjoying the screaming girls who are twisting really fast!

Whew....Chloe almost hit the wood chips! Nice job helping your sister out Haley!

Hehehehe..
It dark in here Mom!

Time to leave the park because the sun went down!

Evening entertainment.

So fun!
Change of song, change of costume.

Boys didn't dance, but wrestled.

Costume change # 3.

The second day we spent a lot of time outside playing, but I didn't seem to take any pictures. I was glad Alecia took a couple of our surprise visit from Great Grandma Tyler and Uncle Pat. Melinda, Ron, Corinne and Logan also joined the gathering.
Glad we had the dining room table for dinner. Great Grandma had the pleasure of eating with the kids.
